There's a few things going on here. In the X server, the number of
touches is being reported incorrectly. But the trackpads are also of the
semi-multitouch variety, where the number of touches can't be inferred
from X anyways.

In reality, your device supports up to three touches for gestures, but
due to a limitation in utouch-frame only two touches are passed to the
gesture recognizer. This is discussed in bug 735806. I am still working
on resolving the issue, but it won't be fixed for natty.

Because this report is most closely associated with bug 735806, I'm
marking this report as a duplicate of it.
