Hi, I can say the same thing. Also using 3.8.4 (as seen below), however the issue is still there.
unity 3.8.4-0ubuntu1 unity-asset-pool 0.8.18-0ubuntu2 unity-common 3.8.4-0ubuntu1 unity-place-applications 0.2.44-0ubuntu1 unity-place-files 0.5.46-0ubuntu2 If I switch to guest account, unity works. Mine is not a clean install, but an upgrade from maverick.
