Thanks for the help! It looks like some of the files are missing from the
packages... in particular the libsss_*.so files that provide the backends
(like libsss_ldap.so and libsss_krb5.so).
Here is a sample log entry:
(Fri Apr 8 16:31:54 2011) [sssd] [monitor_service_init] (3): Initializing
D-BUS Service
Unable to load ldap module with path
(/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/sssd/libsss_ldap.so), error: /usr/lib/x86
_64-linux-gnu/sssd/libsss_ldap.so: cannot open shared object file: No such
file or directory
