The reccomended way to install the nvidia drivers now is to use the
restricted drivers manager because it will do the "AddARGBGLXVisuals"
for you.
Are you still having this problem? If so, try running "sudo nvidia-
xconfig --add-argb-glx-visuals" and then restarting X (or rebooting).
