Public bug reported:
I opened Synaptic Package Manager and marked a number of packages
labeled" Not installed (residual config)" for complete removal. I was
unable to complete the package removal as the activate icon (tick)
stayed unactivated.
The Synaptic Package Manager appears to be working correctly when
selecting other packages for removal.
