That described problem is due to IRQ-sharing between the r8169-module (1000Mbit-Network-Card) and the nvidia-module (propriatery!?). When the r8169-module crashes, then also the graphical output doesn't work anymore. I have read this on some forum which I don' t remember anymore. I'm wondering whether there is any possibility to force usage of some different IRQ for nvidia or r8169?
All-in-all seems to be a problem of the r8169-driver and therefore a kernel bug. In addition the output of /proc/interrupts is attached NOTE: Slightly different model here (A6Tc), but mostly identical (other GPU and CPU) ** Attachment added: "interrupts_a6tc" http://librarian.launchpad.net/7341194/interrupts_a6tc -- crash on copyng network files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/87865 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
