I was able to cleanly remove the package without having to force
anything. Thinking it was a fluke, I went ahead and cleaned my local
cache and then re-downloaded the package only to return to the same
error. So I've confirmed that error was not on my end. It truly does
look like this may be a post scripting error as apt suggests. Perhaps
there was a change in the recipe and the end result isn't what you were
expecting?
