Binary package hint: grub2
I just went with a system update yesterday for Natty Beta 1, and grub2
upon "sudo update-grub" generates duplicate entries in the menu.
Here are certain diagnostic outputs:

command, which will show the duplicate entries - they refer to the same
linux-image in each of the distros, as is indicated by the uuid's
