Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: unity

The launcher in unity recognizes input with a control key as a garabge
character.

For example, typing Ctrl+V into the launcher results in garbage text being
shown.
It would be nice if it responded like an text box (with the ability to copy and
paste) or if not, silently ignore the output.

Ctrl+A seems to select all correctly.
Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V do not copy or paste but puts in a garbage character.
Additionally Ctrl+C does not copy if text is selected.

Ctrl with , . ; ' 1 9 0 all seem to place just a normal character.
Ctrl+2 behaves appropriately (which worries me).
Ctrl+any other character gives garbage text.

Also, I'm not allowed to press print screen with the launcher up, so no
screenshots.
