Sorry, I missed your response. Since I reported this issue, the Chromium team redesigned the preferences UI. I no longer see any cut-off text. (I'm currently on Chromium 10.0.648.133 (77742) Ubuntu 10.10.)
However, since the Chromium team has also moved password storage to Gnome Keyring, I don't have any passwords in Chromium and I don't have a "Show password" button. Regardless, I think this issue can be closed.
