Thanks for your report.
Could you please start the apache process, and then try
sudo dpkg-reconfigure apache
and see if the error still occurs.
If yes, could you run
sudo `ls /var/lib/dpkg/info/apache*postrm`
and paste any errors you get here.
(Since you have given apache as the pakage, I assume you have not used
apache2 otherwise use apache2 instead).
