Public bug reported:
Since last week sometime I have been unable to get any sound out of
Dapper - I assume it must be the result of one of the auto updates, but
cannot be sure.
Trying to bring up the Gnome Volume Applet I get "No volume control
GStreamer plugins and/or devices found."
It seems to have lost contact with the soundcard. I have tried re-
installing various bits and pieces (Gstreamer, Gnome Media etc.) but
this hasn't made any difference.
Any ideas?
Hardware is Compaq Presario M2000 laptop. Device manager lists IXP
