I have been sent a .kdb file and so I have just installed Keepass(x) on Ubuntu (Gnome) 10.10 and am having the same problem. I have a USA keyboard driver. I have used Keepass in the past (when I used to use Kubuntu) so I don't think it's due to unfamiliarity with the program.
Please note, Farfurkis, that when you write "...to fix the bug" what you really mean is "here is a useful workaround". It doesn't FIX the bug at all, and it's a very annoying bug indeed.
