I can confirm the phenomenon that RussianNeuroMancer is describing when installing current Natty (at least Alpha) with German localization. The user sadly has to 'install and switch to' German, after the installation of Natty is complete - though the user already specified that he/she wants a e.g. German 'system'.
Either the status of this bug against ubiquity or debian-installer has to be changed to 'confirmed' please.
