I just tested it in Maverick (fully updated) and with a German localization.
While burning a DVD with Brasero, the indicator menu of Brasero showed up fully translated – for the burn process as well as for the verify process. Please see the attached screenshot. However, you'll notice that the message ist so freakin' dark, that it can hardly be read. Therefore I filed a new bug regarding the color of the message in the indicator menu of Brasero: Bug 760975 [1]. Summary: The problem does NOT exist in Maverick with a German localization.
