Hi! I had similar problem with my usb HD, it is mounted rw as /media/disk and the output of command mount is:
/dev/hda1 on / type ext3 (rw,errors=remount-ro) proc on /proc type proc (rw,noexec, nosuid, nodev) /sys on /sys type sysfs (rw,noexec, nosuid, nodev) varrun on /var/run type tmpfs (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev,mode=0755) varlock on /var/lock type tmpfs (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev,mode=1777) procbususb on /proc/bus/usb type usbfs (rw) udev on /dev type tmpfs (rw,mode=0755) devshm on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw) devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620) lrm on /lib/modules/2.6.20-15-generic/volatile type tmpfs (rw) binfmt_misc on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw) /dev/sdb1 on /media/disk type vfat (rw,nosuid,nodev,shortname=mixed,uid=1000,utf8,umask=077) but if I run eMule 0.47c with wine 0.99.3 unespected the usb HD became "ro" even if the output of command mount doesen't change!! if I look on the "property" menu, Tab "volume"of the icon on desktop i can read: ro nosuid nodev uid=1000 fmask=0077 dmask=0077 codepage=cp437 iocharset=iso8859-1 shorthname=mixed utf8 when the HD became "ro" all the other application can't write on device! By now i solved by not sharing folder on the usb HD, but until 2 weeks ago it work fine! -- [Feisty] USB Stick mounted read-only https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/96520 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
