Public bug reported:
When I attempt to start gxine in this installation of xubuntu, gxine
0.5.11 always hangs in its splashscreen. The output to the terminal is
"audio driver alsa failed". Using the graphical process manager, I can't
stop or kill it. I have to kill it with a terminal "kill -KILL" to make
it go away.
