I don't understand what you mean by this. If Ubuntu cannot connect to an IPv6 network, sure, that network is obviously "not very useful" to the end user. I fail to see which "other equipment" you're talking about, though? Except if the end user has the possibility to reboot into Microsoft Windows, or if he has sufficient technical skill to debug the problem and change the correct advanced settings in the NM connection profile, he will be left completely without a functioning network connection. What "other equipment" will help out with this situation?
