Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client
If a parent folder is a symlink (to somewhere within HOME), then none of
the child folders within it can be added to Ubuntu One
Test case:
mkdir -p folder/subfolder
echo hello > folder/subfolder/file.txt
ln -sf folder link-to-folder
gnome-open link-to-folder
Right-click 'subfolder'
Select "Ubuntu One" -> "Synchronize This Folder"
u1sdtool --list-folders
The folder has not been added to Ubuntu One
synchdaemon.log shows:
2011-04-16 11:52:40,113 - ubuntuone.SyncDaemon.DBus - DEBUG - Folders.create:
dbus.String(u'/home/bq_cdavis/link-to-folder/subfolder')
2011-04-16 11:52:40,114 - ubuntuone.SyncDaemon.InteractionInterfaces - DEBUG -
Folders.create: dbus.String(u'/home/bq_cdavis/link-to-folder/subfolder')
2011-04-16 11:52:40,114 - ubuntuone.SyncDaemon.VM - DEBUG - create udf:
'/home/bq_cdavis/link-to-folder/subfolder'
2011-04-16 11:52:40,114 - ubuntuone.SyncDaemon.EQ - DEBUG - push_event:
