This is an issue related with the presence of different Spanish dialects. The term "Pulsos por Minuto" isn't used in Spain but in South America.
Wikipedia itself uses this construction to describe Beats Per Minute as seen in "http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulsaciones_por_minuto";.
