Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
I'm on Ubuntu Maverick 10.10, fully updated. Using OpenOffice.org 3.2.1
OOO320m19 (Build:9505)ooo-build 3.2.1.4, Ubuntu package
1:3.2.1-7ubuntu1.1
Any new document I open has as it's default font some rather curious
decorative fonts, like savatage or Brady Bunch, which I'm sure are fine
fonts, but not really useful for spreadsheets or formal letters. I have
tried numerous times to edit the default formats with the "Styles and
Formatting" window, changing both the default option as well as the
individual styles ("Heading", "Result", etc.)
No matter. The next time I open a new document, the decorative fonts are
the defaults yet again. Not only that, but even in documents where I
have already changed the default font to, say, Arial, every time I paste
new material into a cell or document, it reverts back to the decorative
font.
What's up? Is this a GNOME desktop setting that is bleeding into OOo? Or
is this purely an OpenOffice issue? Please advise as to how I can
provide more information. One thing I can tell you right away that may
be contributing to this problem is that I have several thousand fonts
installed on my computer, about a third system-wide and the rest in my
.fonts folder.
Thank you in advance for any help you can give.
