Public bug reported:

emacs can't display cyrillic fonts in feisty, having a system up to date and 
having installed  mule-ucs and emacs-intl-fonts.
It's maybe an unrelated problem, but the file "/usr/share/fonts/X11/cyrillic" 
does not exist (needed in the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf).
