I just tried to take several screenshots of the issue, but can't get it to capture. I've tried all the capture programs I can think of (native screenshot program, print screen, ctrl-alt-print screen, Compiz' super+button1, & Shotwell) and none will capture the launcher when it's open. They all grab the screens no problem when the launcher is recessed back into the left panel. Let me know if you can think of another way to grab a screenshot of the App. Launcher and I'd be happy to try it out.
