I tried the latest kernel, and the bug is still present. I had ran
apport-collect to give more information to developers.
** Description changed:
I've had this problem ever since Intrepid. It hasn't bothered me as
much, but since now ath5k is totally open source, maybe there can be a
fix.
OS: Ubuntu Jaunty/Karmic
Drivers: Madwifi (madwifi) for Jaunty and ath5k for Karmic.
All other system information can be found inside of the tar file. The
system I've used is still the same.
It seems that on occasion my wireless card will refuse to turn on during
specific boots. There's no error message as to why it wouldn't turn on,
but it just...doesn't. I've been tracking this bug since June of this
year, and I have enough information (hopefully) for a developer to look
into it.
Attached is a tar of the files (both when it did and did not work), and the
custom DSDT I had to use to resolve bug #272247.
