this issue is an old story on my end since karmic: p5wdh+8500gt ich7r i386 install
- shutdown seems to be ok, but next boot always fail, need a cold boot then - restart never works On first try to boot (gnome2 without compiz/unity/splash) the grub menu appear and the timer delay works but boot fail.
