Jose, are you still facing this behaviour? if this is true please run in
a terminal:

$ cd ~/.config/gwibber
$ sqlite3 gwibber.sqlite ".dump" > dump
$ mv gwibber.sqlite gwibber.sqlite.backup
$ cat dump | sqlite3 gwibber.sqlite 

and then try to start gwibber again,
