I have unmarked this bug as a duplicate. I think the issues were separate, as I described previously.
I recently checked the proposed repository, finding it odd that a kernel update hadn't wound up in there recently. For whatever reason update manager wasn't seeing it. I had to manually select kernel 2.6.35-29, along with the associated headers, and installed them. This fixed the problem for me. So if you're subscribed to this bug because you're experiencing the same problem, try manually installing the latest kernel update from the proposed repository manually via synaptic and see if it fixes it for you as well. If no one else has experienced the problem and people were just subscribed for monitoring purposes, if someone could tell me when the 2.6.35-29 update is going to wind up in the regular (not "proposed") update repository, that would be a great time to mark this bug as fixed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/711598 Title: IEC958 output stopped functioning after kernel update -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
