Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: compiz
when maximize_effect is disabled, either as part of the "wobbly windows"
option, or on its own via gconf, maximize breaks in an odd way:
when hitting the maximize button, the window border and window contents
are resized to fill the screen, and moved into the top left; but the
hotspot areas of the border (ie, where you need to click to achieve
something) stay where they are. If a window was in the middle of the
screen before being maximized, then clicking the border of the maximized
window has no effect, because the hotspot area is still in the middle.
If you move your mouse over where eg the cloze button used to be, then
the close button on the drawn border will glow as though being hovered
over
