We have assigned an engineer to look at a solution for the problem. This bug didn't have a critical status attached to it, which means that I haven't considered that a release blocker so far.
I understand that the problem has since then been re-confirmed as being a high priority bug, but not a release blocker by the release team. And an SRU priority.
