After you have completed testing that PPA, report your results here, and post your dmesg.
Then, remove the PPA (using ppa-purge or similar), and lets test this next part. Install the upstream experimental drm kernel tree: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-intel-next-proposed/ A number of people with similar problems say this solves the issue; others have trouble getting it to boot. If it doesn't boot, try the drm-intel-next, drm-next, or 2.6.39-rc* kernels at http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ until you find one that does boot. With the newer upstream kernel, try to reproduce the bug again, collect dmesg, and post here. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/765416 Title: [g41] GPU lockup (IPEHR: 0x01800002) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
