** Summary changed:

- Launchpad does not find that bug is duplicate of #700036
+ searching for exact title prefix gets no matches (text search issue)

** Description changed:

- Binary package hint: apport
+ Problem
+ =======

- Instructions to reproduce:
- - In maverick or natty, do "sudo apt-get install blcr-dkms"
- - Compilation of the module fails (this is bug #700036, "package blcr-dkms
0.8.2-15ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: blcr kernel module failed to build -
error: ‘struct signal_struct’ has no member named ‘count’")
- - Apport offers to report a bug, go through with it
- - The launchpad page says "No similar bug reports were found.", even though
the automatically generated title is "package blcr-dkms 0.8.2-15ubuntu1 failed
to install/upgrade: blcr kernel module failed to build", matching the beginning
of the title of bug #700036.
- - Changing the title to exactly that of bug #700036 and clicking "Check
again" still gives no matches.
+ Searching for "package blcr-dkms 0.8.2-15ubuntu1 failed to
+ install/upgrade: blcr kernel module failed to build" does not find bug
+ 700036 which at the time of writing has tyle "package blcr-dkms
+ 0.8.2-15ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: blcr kernel module failed to
+ build - error: ‘struct signal_struct’ has no member named ‘count’ "

- The aforementioned bug gets nearly one duplicate a day, on average,
- which is an inconvenience. I'm not sure if the problem is with apport or
- with launchpad itself.
+ Analysis
+ ========
+
+ Probably a fti vectorisation issue; need to determine the search terms
+ being looked up and those present in the fti vector for the bug.
