Please note that I don't directly use python and did not manually pin
any python package to any special version.

I'm guessing that the python problem was solved when I re-installed
virt-manager.

dist-upgrade did not make any changes (probably because I've already re-
installed some packages over the past day or two.) I've reviewed your
package lists and installed a few more packages. Hopefully everything is
normal now.
