I did a fresh install of Kubuntu Feisty and found that there were only
three packages not installed by default that needed to be installed in
order to get DVDs to play. Since Kubuntu mainly uses xine based media
players, this should relate to this bug.

The three packages are libdvdread3, libxine1-ffmpeg, and libdvdcss2.
libdvdcss2 is not in the Ubuntu repository so it has to be acquired
elsewhere. If you don't intend to play encrypted DVDs, you don't need to
install libdvdcss2. Additionally, libxine1-ffmpeg requires libmad0 so it
will install libmad0 automatically.
