The dmesg.txt shows that nvidia kernel module is not being loaded. You have the right package for a Geforce 6000 though (nvidia-glx-new). Eduard: I beinterested in seeing the output of ls -al /lib/linux-restricted-modules/ BEFORE you reconfigure things using restricted-manager. You can use restricted-manager by going to System -> Administration -> Restricted Drivers Manager.
