I feel stupid to open a bug for _this_, but the "Translations" Button in
LP is grayed out, so I do it this way...
In OpenOffice.Org Impress, in the list of slide transition effect, I was
looking for a simple fade-over. After trying out many, I found that
"Glatt ausbleichen" does what I want. I guess the original name was
"Smooth fade", which should translate to "Weicher Übergang" or "Weiches
Überblenden". "Glatt ausbleichen" rather translates to "bleach out
smoothly" or so, where I would expect some effect involving saturation
or a bright flash or so.
