Alex's approach worked for me. # lsof -c skype | fgrep pulse
showed two libraries in use, so I did: # sudo chmod a-r /usr/lib32/libpulsecommon-0.9.21.so /usr/lib32/libpulse.so.0.12.2 Skype works fine now with sound, microphone and chat. Nice :-) Skype 2.2.0.25, Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat, 2.6.35-28-generic #50-Ubuntu SMP Fri Mar 18 18:42:20 UTC 2011 x86_64 GNU/Linux Cheers, Andy -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/646862 Title: skype crashes after signing in -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
