Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: synaptic

I guess It is not a show stopper but a small problem.

What should happen:
When we open Synaptic it first asks for the password. If you enter a wrong
password it should give an error message that the password entered is wrong and
the user should be able to re-enter it.

What happens instead:
On entering the wrong password Synaptic closes without any error messages.
