** Description changed: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel Ubuntu version: 10.04.1 package version: 2:2.9.1-3ubuntu5 I have to boot with the option i915.modeset=1 (Workaround A in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Bugs/Lucidi8xxFreezes) or I get the system locked up. However, I get this error message: acer-wmi: No or unsupported WMI interface, unable to load. Although, everything seems to work fine. When I try to play a video system crashes inmediatly. Screen alternates between console mode and blank. But the console appears only for a blink, so I'm not able to read what it displays.
