In my case, since 7.04 I have had several extreme problems whilst upgrading. I generally ended up going through a great deal of pain, wasted time trying to remember details of how I got my system setup (after installing from the CD there's a ton of other stuff to do, taking about a week to get the system back to where I want it again)...
Yet again Ubuntu is providing unstable service. Sadly, after I reinstalled XP to play games last year, it hasn't faltered - it's proving to be superior and more stable than Ubuntu. I guess it's time to quit, maybe try out Mint (apparently they have a better upgrade policy). Now I see my 'ubuntu sunrise' custom GDM screen - and it just stays there. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/723285 Title: natty cannot boot system freeze due bad file descriptor -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
