I noticed that starting another instance of "unity" from the shell fixes the problem of Alt+key in (emacs, gnome-terminal at least).
When I startd "unity" from the shell, I noticed a screen flicker and then the desktop was restored in a good state. I suppose that when unity (or the unity compiz plugin) starts the first time it grabs at low level, what is the current "Super" key. Then the gnome-preference-settings (I don't remember the exact name) swaps the keys, but the new Alt key remains bound to unity. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/729007 Title: Untiy break the Alt related shortcuts if alt/win key are swapped -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
