Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: unity-place-files

When I type a word in portugues (or most languages besides English) they
sometimes contain an accented letter (~ + a = ã ; or ' + e = é , etc.)
but when I type those inside the files or applications lens hoping to
get the correct variation, it show the accent as a letter followed by
the unmodified letter... and it wont get the correct results when
searching
