Hi !
network-manager does not manage interfaces that are managed by
/network/interfaces.
jut delete the lines about eth0 and it should work.
your /network/interfaces should look like that:
# This file describes the network interfaces available on your system
# and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5).
# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
setting status as rejected. Tell me if it fails.
