Yesterday I updated from 10.10 to 11.04 on my Lenovo T400 with a Radeon HD 3400
graphics card.
When I boot with the shipped kernel 2.6.38-8 the X server crashes, with the
last kernel 2.6.35-28
it works fine. (See attachments)
I ran aticonfig as suggested but , alas, at no avail. Maybe there is a hint at
27,614 seconds in the
xorg.1.log : "DRI initialization failed -- kernel module (fglrx.ko) may be
missing or incompatible".
I checked with "locate" but it is here.
