After upgrade from kubuntu 10.10 to kubuntu 11.04 (amd64) tasks hang in "disk 
sleep" status.
dmesg reports messages like
> INFO: task knotify4:2567 blocked for more than 120 seconds.
Normal desktop apps fail, and cause the error message (eg digikam, amarok, 
knotify4, dolphin)

kernels used, and the result are:
 2.6.38-8-generic - problem IS present (this is the Natty generic kernel)
 2.6.38-8-server - problem IS present (this is the Natty server kernel)
 2.6.38-02063804 - problem IS present (this is the mainline kernel)
 2.6.35-28-generic - problem is NOT evident (this is the Maverick generic 
kernel)
