I will try to install the ppa suggested, and report back, although I'd appreciate a changelog to see if it suggests something about ALC268 audio. Notice that the audio worked ok in Maverick. PD in the instructions you explain how to go back to the old driver, but not how to get rid of the ppa added. Did purge-ppa work?
