Till: you are absolutely correct, And yes, I think this is a bug with Unity. Thanks for the clues. I actually discovered this behaviour while doing screen shots of everything to help explain what I was complaining about.
This is entirely counter-intuitive. It wasn't until I read something in your response that I actually maximized the printer config window and realized that the menus where there... And then I read your later comment and that explains the rest. Unfortunately, this is entirely counter-intuitive to anyone who hasn't used Mac OSX. I've never used OSX beyond one time in a 1 day class about 8 years ago when OSX first came out. That's the last time I touched a mac other than some very simple and quick playing with them in a Mac store... So thanks for pointing this in the right direction. The sad thing is that I've been using Linux since the mid-90s and computers since the mid-80s and even I can't figure out where many things in Unity are... maybe it's just me, perhaps... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/774334 Title: Unity: Configuration and administration programs are hidden in the On/Off menu -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
