It is also possible to reproduce the error using Chromium and Evince (and no Mozilla apps)
Search for 'how to create a PDF file site:adobe.com' and click on the top PDF link. Result as per attached image (left monitor showing the blue strip from the background picture) The problems corrects itself after changing window focus (either alt+tab) or clicking on another window and then back again.
