I tried to purge xorg-edgers. But I had not time to retry a migration from 10.10 to 11.04 by my self because I had to work. In between, the updater in background made something like hundreds updates automatically. When I rebooted my computer the day after, Ubuntu was no more working. I saw there were parts of 11.04 mixed with 10.10. I tried to boot in recovery mode, to force a full distribution upgrade through synaptic or apt-get. It was not possible due to many broken dependencies either to upgrade nor to downgrade. The only solution was to format my hard disk and to reinstall Ubuntu 11.04 from a Cd I burned with the use of another computer.
Please make your migration procedure more robust. It is not normal. I lost a lot of time and some files that I prefered not to. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/773574 Title: Unable to upgrade from 10.10 to 11.04 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
