This problem is not a bug in Ubuntu, it is cause by the closed-source
driver from Canon which requires certain library versions which are not
supplied by Natty. Canon should produce either fully free (open-source)
drivers or LSB-based driver packages, so that their drivers work with a
wide frange of distributions over a longer time. Please report this
problem to Canon.
