The circle is closing down. During the previous days i had some
application constantly running, e.g. emesene or pidgin (occasionally
skype). When emesene was running, the frequency of the above mentioned
issue was, say, frequent; When pidgin was running the frequency grew a
little. Now i'm using amsn and the frequency is very low (probably
totally absent, but i'm not sure about this point). Occasionally the
issue manifested when running skype. It happened a couple of times while
I was rebooting from this very issue, after i properly logged in in gdm.
I'm using natty with gnome classic (no unity!), and let me remind you of
the integration between emesene/pidgin and gnome itself. I must say that
emesene still doesn't fit very well into gnome, e.g. some glitches in
the chat/mail icon (in tray) when messages are received and stuf like
that. I'd say it something related to some memory violations, 'cause IM
app uses buffering and stuff of text in their text views.
